Süderlügum (Amt)
Süderlügum was an Amt ("collective municipality") in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Its seat was in Süderlügum. In January 2008, it was merged with the Ämter Karrharde, Bökingharde and Wiedingharde, and the municipalities Niebüll and Leck to form the Amt Südtondern. Tønder Municipality
Tønder is a municipality in Region of Southern Denmark on the Jutland peninsula in south Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 1,278 km², and has a total population of 40,367 (2008). Tønder Festival
Tønder Festival is an annual folk music festival in Tønder, Denmark. It is held on the last weekend of August. It was founded in 1975. The festival is one of the most important festivals for traditional and modern folk music in Europe. Around 2000 volunteers helped at the festival in 2008. The program is composed of international artists from especially Ireland, Scotland, Canada, USA, England and Scandinavia.

Tondern raid
The Tondern raid, officially designated Operation F.7, was a British bombing raid mounted by the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force against the Imperial German Navy's airship base at Tønder, Denmark, then a part of Germany. It was the first attack in history made by aircraft flying from a carrier flight deck. On 19 July 1918 seven Sopwith Camels took off from the converted large cruiser Furious. For the loss of one man, the British destroyed two German zeppelins, L.54 and L.60 and a captive balloon.
