Ftelia, Drama

Ftelia is a village in the Drama regional unit, in northeastern Greece. Its population is approximately 500 (2005 est.). Ftelia means "elm tree" in Greek. The village is situated 9k m to the south of the city of Drama in Macedonia, Greece. It is part of the municipality of Kalampaki. Many of the village's residents are descendants of Greeks who fled from the Northern Thrace region of Bulgaria during the Balkan Wars. Ftelia has a primary school.

Krinides

Krinides or Crenides is a town and an ancient site that includes the archaeological site of Philippi in the Kavala regional unit in eastern Macedonia. Krinides is the seat of the municipality of Filippoi south of the Pangaion hills. The mountains dominate most of the municipality including the Lekani mountains while the farmlands as well as the Philippi-Drama plain is to the northwest. Krinides is located SE of Serres, E of Thessaloniki, SW of Drama and NW of Kavala.

Philippi

Philippi (in Greek Φίλιπποι Philippoi) was a city in eastern Macedonia, established by Philip II in 356 BC and abandoned in the 14th century after the Ottoman conquest. The present municipality Filippoi is located near the ruins of the ancient city and it is part of the region of East Macedonia and Thrace in Greece.
