Tashkooh

Tashkooh or Firing Mount, is a mountain near the Ramhormoz, Iran. Tashkooh which also named Atashkooh (in persian means Fire Mount), is known for its permanent flames. This mount always is firing, because of the sulfur vapors rising from the porous layer of mountain sufrace and firing affected by the sublimation and nebulization. Tashkooh is near the Mamatin village, between Ramhormoz and Izeh.

Ramhormoz County is a county in Khuzestan Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Ramhormoz. At the 2006 census, the county's population (including the portions later split off to form Haftgel County) was 120,194, in 25,359 families; excluding those portions, the population was 97,561, in 20,648 families. The county has one district: the Central District. The county has one city: Ramhormoz.
