Barna GAC

Barna GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Barna, County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA. The club caters for the Barna and Furbo areas of County Galway, west of Galway city. The club was merged with Spiddal at U16,U18 and U21 during the 1990s before reverting back to its old form again in 2001. Barna were promoted to Senior Level for the first time in 1972 and have competed in the Galway Senior Club Football Championship over the years.

Galway Bay

Galway Bay is a large bay on the west coast of Ireland, between County Galway in the province of Connacht to the north and the Burren in County Clare in the province of Munster to the south. Galway city is located on the northeast side of the bay. It is about 50 kilometres long and from 10 kilometres to 30 kilometres in breadth. The Aran Islands (Oileáin Árann) are to the west across the entrance and there are numerous small islands within the bay.
