Sdot Negev Regional Council, formerly known as Azata Regional Council is a regional council in the northwestern Negev desert in the South District of Israel. The Sdot Negev region council was established in 1951 by the Religious Zionist HaPoel HaMizrahi settlement movement. Yakhini
Yakhini is an Orthodox moshav in southern Israel. Located in the northern Negev desert near the town of Sderot, it falls under the jurisdiction of Sha'ar HaNegev Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 476. The moshav was founded in 1950 by Jewish immigrants from Yemen, who were brought to Israel during Operation Magic Carpet, when most Yemenite Jews arrived in the country.
