Vasermil Stadium

The Arthur Vasermil Municipal Stadium, commonly known as the Vasermil Stadium, is a football stadium in Beersheba, Israel. The stadium is designed as an open bowl (though a small part of one side has cover), and formerly had a running track, though this has now been bricked over. The stadium is all-seated, and the capacity is 13,000. The 2007 film Vasermil is set in Beersheva and named for the stadium.

Battle of Beersheba (1917)

The Battle of Beersheba (Turkish: Birüssebi Savaşı, also known as the Third Battle of Gaza) was fought on 31 October 1917, when two corps of the Egyptian Expeditionary Force (EEF) attacked units of the Yildirim Army Group guarding Beersheba, beginning an offensive which six weeks later resulted in the capture of Jerusalem, during the Sinai and Palestine campaign of World War I.

Be'er Sheva Center Railway Station

Be'er Sheva Center (Merkaz) Railway Station is an Israel Railways terminal in Be'er Sheva on the main intercity line from Nahariya to Be'er Sheva. The station is located on Yitzhak Ben Zvi St. near the city's central bus station and HaNegev Mall. It is one of two railway stations serving Be'er Sheva, the other being Be'er Sheva North, located near the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
