Wadi Araba Crossing

The Wadi Araba Border Crossing is an international border crossing between Aqaba, Jordan and Eilat, Israel. Opened on August 8, 1994, it is currently one of three entry/exit points between the two countries that handles tourists. In February 2006, the Israelis renamed their border terminal to Yitzhak Rabin Terminal, after the late Prime Minister.

Eilat Airport

Eilat Airport, also known as J. Hozman Airport, is an Israeli airport located in the city of Eilat. It mostly handles domestic flights to Tel Aviv and Haifa with international flights operating instead to Ovda International Airport, but a few international flights on aircraft that can handle the relatively short runway use Eilat as well. Eilat Airport is located in the central area of the city, next to Route 90 (The Arava Road).

Eilat bakery bombing

The Eilat bakery bombing occurred on 29 January 2007 when a Palestinian suicide bomber from the Gaza Strip infiltrated the northern suburbs of Eilat, Israel. Upon seeing the police approaching, he entered a neighbourhood bakery and detonated his bomb, killing three people: the bakery's co-owners and an employee. In the midst of Palestinian factional violence, both the Islamic Jihad and the Fatah-affiliated al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades claimed joint responsibility.

Kings City

Kings City is a biblical theme park in Eilat, Israel, which was inaugurated in June 2005. It required an investment of about USD 40 million. It is owned by "Africa Israel", "Elran d.d. Real Estate ltd" and a Swiss investor. The park can handle 4500 visitors per day. In December 2005, Africa Israel, one of the three owners of Kings City, and another Israeli firm, Polar International, announced they had signed a deal to build a giant amusement park in South Carolina at a cost of USD 360 million.

Yoseftal Medical Center

Yoseftal Medical Center is a hospital in Eilat, Israel. Yoseftal Hospital, founded in 1968, is the southernmost hospital in Israel and the only hospital covering the southern Negev desert. It is named after Giora Yoseftal. It is Israel's smallest general hospital with 65 beds.
