Hevel Eilot Regional Council
Hevel Eilot Regional Council is a regional council in the South District of Israel, near the city of Eilat. It is the southernmost regional council in Israel. Only about 3,300 people live in the council in twelve communities. Its area is about 2.2 million dunams. The major city of the region, Eilat, governs itself as a city council and is not included in the regional council.

Yotvata Airfield

Jotbathah
Jotbathah or "Jotbath" is one of the stops of the Israelites on the Exodus journey. It name may mean goodness derived from the Hebrew Jatahh or Tubb, implying therefore Good, both Natural and Moral. It was a land of brooks of water. It is possible that it is Yotvata or Sabkhat et-Taba and Bir et-Taba in the Arabah, a salt-marsh area, which may be the "brooks of water".

Highway 13 (Israel)
Highway 13 is an expressway in southern Israel. It is 12 km long. It begins in the north at Tzihor junction with Highway 40, and ends in the south at Menuha junction with Highway 90. Thus, it connects between Highway 40, which runs north to Mizpe Ramon and Beersheba via the central Negev, and Highway 90, which traverses the Arava region on Israel's eastern border.

Shaharut
Shaharut is a communal settlement 40 kilometers north of Eilat, and 6 kilometers west of Yotvata on a ridge above the Arava Valley in the far south of Israel. It is the only settlement in the area that is not in the valley itself. It belongs to the Hevel Eilot Regional Council. It was founded in 1985 and is named after the nearby Shaharut Mountain. As of 2010, twenty eight families live there amounting to 120 people. The word "Shaharut" means "youth", as in Ecclesiastes chapter 11.
