Sahab, Jordan
Sahab is a city in the Kingdom of Jordan, south east of the capital Amman. Sahab is well known for its Industrial Estate, the Islamic Cemetery, and Kahf of Raqeem site mentioned in the Qur'an. Al Qastal, Jordan
Al Qastalis a town in the Amman Governorate of northern Jordan. Originally established as an Umayyad settlement, it remains the oldest and most complete such settlement in the Near East The remains of the minaret at Qastal is especially important as it is the only one extant from the Umayyad period, making it one of the oldest minarets in the world. Qasr Al Qastal, also located within the town, is considered one of the desert castles and is just 5 km from Qasr Mshatta.

2009 IAAF World Cross Country Championships
The 37th IAAF World Cross Country Championships were held in the Al Bisharat Golf Course at Amman, Jordan on 28 March 2009. Four races took place, one for men, women, junior men and junior women respectively. All races encompassed both individual and team competition. Amman is also only the second occasion on which Asia has hosted the World Cross Country Championships, which are the oldest IAAF World Athletics Series event, first celebrated under the IAAF banner in 1973.

Queen Alia International Airport
Queen Alia International Airport is Jordan's largest airport and is situated in the Zizya (زيزياء) area, 20 miles (32 km) south of Amman. The airport has three terminals: two passenger terminals and one cargo terminal. It is the main hub of Royal Jordanian Airlines, the national flag carrier, as well as being a major hub for Jordan Aviation. It was built in 1983 and is named after Queen Alia, the third wife of the late King Hussein of Jordan who died in a helicopter crash in 1977.
