Fyfe River
The Fyfe River is a river in the Tasman District of New Zealand. It arises in the Marino Mountains near Mount Owen and flows north, then south-west, south and south-east to join the Owen River, a tributary of the Buller River, which eventually exits into the Tasman Sea. A Department of Conservation-maintained tramping track follows the river, and can be used for access to Mount Owen.

Owen River
The Owen River is located in the northwest of New Zealand's South Island. This short river is an upper tributary of the Buller River. It flows south for 20 kilometres from its headwaters on the slopes of Mount Owen, flowing into the Buller at the small settlement of Owen River 18 kilometres northeast of Murchison.

Bulmer Cavern
Bulmer Cavern is New Zealand's longest cave system, running for 66 km through Mount Owen in the Tasman region of the northwest South Island. John Patterson discovered the cave on New Year's Day 1984, by dropping a rock down and counting the seconds until it reached the bottom. Bulmer Cavern was the location of a major cave rescue effort in 1998, when it took 80 cavers several days to extract another caver who had fallen and broken his jaw deep in the cavern.

Mount Owen (New Zealand)
Mount Owen is in the Tasman district of the South Island of New Zealand. It stands at 1875 metres (5625 feet) above sea level and is part of the Marino Mountains. There are a number of caves in the marble karst areas on the flanks of the mountain, including New Zealand's longest cave system, Bulmer Cavern, which run for 64 kilometres. Mount Owen lies within Kahurangi National Park. The Hope Saddle crosses its eastern flank.
