Karasjok Church

Karasjok Church is a parish church in Karasjok Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Karasjok. The church is part of the Karasjok parish in the Indre Finnmark deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The brown wooden church was built in 1974 to replace the Old Karasjok Church which was built in 1807. The new church seats about 500 people. The ground plan is roughly rectangular and all the rooms on the ground level are consolidated under one roof.

Sami Parliament of Norway

The Sami Parliament of Norway is the representative body for people of Sami heritage in Norway. It acts as an institution of cultural autonomy for the indigenous Sami people. The Parliament was opened on 9 October 1989. The seat is in the village of Kárášjohka (Karasjok) in Kárášjohka Municipality in Finnmark county. It currently has 39 representatives, who are elected every four years by direct vote from 7 constituencies. The last election was in 2009.

Old Karasjok Church

Old Karasjok Church (Norwegian: Karasjok gamle kirke) is a former parish church in Karasjok Municipality in Finnmark county, Norway. The church is no longer regularly used, but it is used occasionally for special situations. It is located in the village of Karasjok. The church is part of the Karasjok parish in the Indre Finnmark deanery in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in 1807 by the architect Daniel Storch.
