Nahal Telem
Nachal Telem is a wadi located in the West Bank begins in the western part of the Judaean Mountains and goes westwards. The official Israeli name of the wadi is "Nachal Natziv" (נחל נציב) but this name is not used in practice. The wadi contains the El Kof Nature Reserve (שמורת יער אל קוף) and the Tor-Safa Cave (מערת טור-צפא) which is the largest of the caves in the western slopes of the Judea mountain.

1929 Hebron massacre
The Hebron massacre refers to the killing of sixty-seven Jews (including 23 college students) on 24 August 1929 in Hebron, then part of Mandatory Palestine, by Arabs incited to violence by false rumors that Jews were massacring Arabs in Jerusalem and seizing control of Muslim holy places. The event also left scores seriously wounded or maimed. Jewish homes were pillaged and synagogues were ransacked. Many of the 435 Jews who survived were hidden by local Arab families.
