The Tarnów rail station bomb attack was a bombing carried out by a German agent at Tarnów, Poland. It occurred in the night of August 28, 1939, when a time bomb planted by the agent exploded, killing 20 people and wounding 35. In 1939, Tarnów was a town with a population of 40,000 in southern Poland.

New Synagogue (Tarnów)
New Synagogue (Polish: Nowa Synagoga, Nowa Synagoga w Tarnowie) was the largest synagogue in Tarnów, Poland. It was built from 1865 to 1908, with the long period of construction due to lack of funds. The synagogue was set on fire by the Nazis in November 1939. The fire lasted three days but the building did not collapse; it was blown up instead.
