Zădăreni

Zădăreni is a commune in Arad County, Romania, is situated in the northern part of the Vinga Plateau, along the Mureș valley. Its territory occupies 2145 hectares. It is composed of two villages: Bodrogu Nou and Zădăreni (situated at 8 km from Arad). These were part of Felnac Commune until 2004, when they were split off.

Felnac

Felnac is a commune in Arad County, Romania. Felnac commune is situated in the Vingăi Plateau, on the left side of the Mureș Valley and it surface occupies 5120 ha. It is composed of two villages, Călugăreni and Felnac (situated at 20 km from Arad). It also included Bodrogu Nou and Zădăreni villages until 2004, when they were split off to form Zădăreni Commune.

Mureş Floodplain Natural Park

The Mureș Floodplain Natural Park, set aside by the Romanian government in 2005, is located in western Romania outside the city of Arad. The park covers 17,455 ha and follows the Mureş River westward from the city of Arad to the Hungarian border. The park is a typical ecosystem for wetlands, with running and still waters, and is subjected to periodical floods (a flood every three years).
