Caransebeș Airport

Caransebeș Airport is located 1.8 km east northeast of Caransebeş in western Romania, in Caraş-Severin county. A former military base, CSB is the only commercial airport in Romania not located in the proximity of a large urban area. Currently there is no regular service to this airport. In 1994 TAROM suspended its direct flights from Bucharest, and in 2002 the airport was bought by a private company. Since the airport sale, Aeroclubul României operates here, mostly for general aviation.

Castra of Cornuțel

The castra of Cornuțel was a fort in the Roman province of Dacia. It was erected in the 2nd century AD. The ruins of a nearby contemporary settlement were also unearthed. The castra and the settlement were abandoned in the 3rd century AD. The ruins of the fort are located in Cornuţel.

Copăcele is a commune in Caraş-Severin County, western Romania with a population of 1,087 people. It is composed of four villages: Copăcele, Ohaba-Mâtnic, Ruginosu and Zorile. At the 2011 census, 61.1% of inhabitants were Ukrainians and 38.4% Romanians.
