Neamț Citadel

Neamţ Citadel (Romanian: Cetatea Neamţ or Cetatea Neamţului) is a medieval fortress located in north-eastern part of Romania, near Târgu Neamț, Neamţ County. It was built in 14th century Moldavia during Petru I of Moldavia's reign and expanded in the 15th century. The citadel played a key role in Stephen III of Moldavia's defense system, along with Suceava, Hotin, Soroca, Orhei, Tighina, Chilia and Cetatea Albǎ.

Bălțătești

Bălţăteşti is a commune situated 36 km north of Piatra Neamţ, on the DN15C road, in Neamţ County, Romania. It is composed of three villages: Bălţăteşti, Valea Arini and Valea Seacă. It also included Ghindăoani village until 2003, when it was split off to form Ghindăoani Commune. It has several sources of mineral waters used for disease treatment purposes, a hotel and medical facilities. The natural landscape and the surroundings makes it a tourist destination.
