Koshekhabl

Koshekhabl is a rural locality and the administrative center of Koshekhablsky District of the Republic of Adygea, Russia, located on the Bolshaya Laba River, some 70 kilometers northeast of Maykop. Population: 7,239; 7,309; 6,935. The name "Koshekhabl" derives for Circassian words "Kosho" (a Shapsug family name) and "Habl" (meaning neighborhood). A branch of the Adyghe State University operates in Koshekhabl.
