Zhizdra River

Zhizdra River is a river in Kaluga Oblast in Russia, Oka's left tributary. The length of the river is 223 km. The area of its basin is 9,170 km². the Zhizdra River freezes up in late November and stays icebound until early April. Its main tributaries are the Resseta, Vytebet, and Serena. The towns of Kozelsk and Zhizdra are located on the shores of the Zhizdra.

Peremyshlsky District is an administrative and municipal district, one of the twenty-four in Kaluga Oblast, Russia. It is located in the east of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,156 square kilometers . Its administrative center is the rural locality of Peremyshl. Population: 14,137; 13,952; 16,105. Peremyshl, Russia

Peremyshl is a rural locality and the administrative center of Peremyshlsky District of Kaluga Oblast, Russia. Population: 3,279; 3,235; 3,168. Formerly a capital of one of the Upper Oka Principalities, Peremyshl contains the ruins of a mid-16th century cathedral which collapsed in the 1980s from neglect. For descendants of the local rulers, see Vorotynsky and Gorchakov.

Chekalin

Chekalin, formerly known as Likhvin (Лихвин), is a town in Suvorovsky District of Tula Oblast, Russia, located on the left bank of the Oka River. Population: 994; 1,151; 1,319. It is the least populous inhabited locality in Russia with the town status. In 1944, Likhvin was renamed Chekalin in honor of a Soviet partisan Alexander Chekalin.
