Lipki is a town in Kireyevsky District of Tula Oblast, Russia, located 38 kilometers south of Tula. Population: 8,719; 9,843; 10,355. The village of Lipki has been known since at least the 17th century. In 1949, it was granted urban-type settlement status due to the development of coal deposits. It was granted town status in 1955.

Kireyevsk

Kireyevsk is a town and the administrative center of Kireyevsky District of Tula Oblast, Russia, located on the Olen River, 40 kilometers southeast of Tula. Population: 25,557; 26,284; 30,503. It has been known since the second half of the 18th century as the Cossack village of Kireyevskaya (Кире́евская). Iron ore deposits started to be developed in the 19th century. During the Soviet times, the village was granted urban-type settlement status and renamed Kireyevka (Кире́евка).
