Chapel of the Holy Well

Chapel of the Holy well is a chapel located in Marianka, Slovakia, upon the rumoured miraculous stream. The stream was reported to have miraculous healing effect on physically handicapped pilgrims visiting the pilgrimage site. In book of Kummer from the record of local cloister, 140 unusual recoveries were reported between 1634 - 1730. Among those recoveries were such as relief from blindness, reuma, paralysis, mestruation difficulties or mental diseases.

TABSO Flight 101

TABSO Flight LZ101 was a scheduled service of the Bulgarian national airline from Sofia, Bulgaria via Budapest, Hungary and Prague, Czechoslovakia to East Berlin in the German Democratic Republic. The service was operated by the airline's 1960s' flagship equipment, the Ilyushin Il-18B airliner. On Thursday 24 November 1966, the service crashed near Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia (then part of Czechoslovakia), with the loss of 82 lives. The crash remains Slovakia's worst air disaster.

Officially, it is part of numerous boroughs of Bratislava: Dúbravka, Karlova Ves, Záhorská Bystrica, Vinohrady, Old Town, New Town and Rača.
