HMCS Weyburn (K173)

HMCS Weyburn was a Royal Canadian Navy Flower-class corvette which took part in convoy escort duties during World War II. Weyburn was laid down at Port Arthur Shipbuilding Company, Port Arthur on 21 December 1940, launched on 26 July 1941, commissioned 26 November 1941, and was lost after being struck by a mine on 22 February 1943 while east of Gibraltar. While on escort duty in the North Atlantic in 1942, Weyburn was involved in rescuing sailors from ships struck by two separate U-Boats.

Jerez Airport

Jerez Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto de Jerez), also known as La Parra Airport, is an airport located 8 km northeast of Jerez de la Frontera in Southern Spain, about 50 mi from Sevilla and 28.1 mi from Cadiz. It is a modern airport with the principal arrivals and departures areas on the ground floor. Jerez Airport is conveniently located for access to Gibraltar, Cadiz, Tarifa, Seville and the Costa del Sol which is a 90-minute drive away.

Circuito de Jerez

Circuito de Jerez (Circuit of Jerez), formerly known as Circuito Permanente de Jerez, is a 4,428 m (2.752-mile) racing circuit located close to the city of Jerez de la Frontera, deep within the sherry-producing south of Spain. The project was led by the Spanish engineer Manuel Medina Lara, based on a preliminary idea from Alessandro Rocci.
