The Esenboğa International Airport attack was an attack on Esenboğa International Airport in Ankara, Turkey, perpetrated by the "Pierre Gulumian commando" group from the Armenian militant organization ASALA on August 7, 1982. The attack killed 9 people and injured some 72.

Turkish Airlines Flight 158 was a Boeing 727-2F2 operated by the Turkish Airlines, registration TC-JBR, named Afyon, on an international scheduled flight from Paris Orly Airport via Istanbul Yeşilköy Airport to Ankara Esenboğa Airport that landed on January 16, 1983 about 50 m short of the runway at its destination airport in driving snow, broke up and caught fire. It was the fourth deadliest aviation accident in Turkey at the time.
