SM UB-46

SM UB-46 was a Type UB II submarine or U-boat for the German Imperial Navy during World War I. UB-46 operated in the Mediterranean and the Black Seas, and was sunk by a mine in December 1916. UB-46 was ordered in July 1915 and was laid down at the AG Weser shipyard in Bremen in September. UB-46 was a little more than 121 feet in length and displaced between 270 and 305 metric tons (and), depending on whether surfaced or submerged.

Sazlıdere Dam

Sazlıdere Dam is a reservoir dam in the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul Province, Turkey to provide drinking water to the European side suburbs of the city. The Turkish State Hydraulic Works backed the development of the dam, which was constructed between 1992 and 1996. The reservoir supplies annually 50 hm3 drinking water.

Istanbul Hezarfen Airfield

Istanbul Hezarfen Airfield (Turkish: İstanbul Hezarfen Havaalanı) is a privately owned airport for general aviation located in Çatalca district of Istanbul, Turkey. The facility, one of the four airports in Istanbul, is named after Hezârfen Ahmed Çelebi, an Ottoman scientist, who had crossed the Bosporus flying in the 17th century as told by a contemporary historian.

Şamlar

Şamlar is a village in Başakşehir district of İstanbul Province, Turkey. It is situated in the European portion of Turkey, so called Rumeli at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:41|07|N|28|44|E||| | |name= }} to the east of the Sazlıdere Dam reservoir. It is about 15 kilometres northwest of Başakşehir. The population of Şamlar is 3448 as of 2010. The oldest building in the village is a mosque dated 1839.
