Bukovina

Bukovina is a historical region in Central Europe, currently divided between Romania and Ukraine, located on the northern slopes of the central Eastern Carpathians and the adjoining plains. From 1775 to 1918, Bukovina was an administrative division of the Habsburg Monarchy, the Austrian Empire, and Austria–Hungary. After World War I, Bukovina became part of Romania. In 1940, as a result of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact, the northern half of Bukovina was annexed by the Soviet Union.

Bila Krynytsia, Chernivtsi Oblast

Bila Krynytsya is a village in the Chernivtsi Oblast of western Ukraine. It is located in the Hlybotsky Raion, on the Ukrainian-Romanian border, in the historic region of Bukovina. The international border runs just a few hundred metres south of the village. It means "White Well" in Ukrainian. The recent estimated population is 169 (as of 2006) and is made up almost entirely of Lipovans.

Hlyboka

|} Hlyboka is a town in the Chernivtsi Oblast of western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of the Hlybotsky Raion. {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:48|5|N|25|56|E|region:UA_type:city|| |primary |name= }} The current estimated population is around 9,800. Before World War II, large parts of lands of Hlyboka were owned by Polish noble families: until 1892 by Prince Adam Sapieha, then by Bronislaw Skibniewski (1830-1904) and later by his son Aleksander Skibniewski (1868-1942).
