Krekhiv

Krekhiv is a village in the Lviv Oblast of Ukraine, located within the densely forested Roztochia Upland about 10 km west of Zhovkva and 50 km north of Lviv at around {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:50|2|56|N|23|48|43|E| |primary |name= }}. The village is famous for its Basilian monastery which is a popular pilgrimage site. The monastery was established in the 16th century by two monks from the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, Joel and Silvester, who settled in nearby caves.

Novoiavorivsk

Novoyavorivsk is a city in Lviv Oblast of Ukraine. Population is 26,483 (2001). The city is about 45 minute trip from the oblast's administrative centre Lviv. The town is located on a major road, which ends at the border of Poland as the E40 and continues to Lviv. Novoyavorivsk's city center contains a large square with the city's "Palace of Culture" building and the city's church. The town also contains a football field. The name of the city translates to "New Yavoriv".

Zhovkva Castle

The Zhovkva Castle occupies the principal square of the town of Zhovkva in Ukraine. It was founded by Stanislaw Zolkiewski as his fortified residence. Construction began in 1594 and was mostly completed in 1606. The castle had a typically Serlian entrance arch and was encircled by moats (up to 17 meters in width). One wing of the building accommodated the arsenal and stables; another was immediately contiguous to the city wall. In 1606, a garden was laid out next to the hetman's residence.

Janowska concentration camp

Janowska was a Nazi German labor, transit and concentration camp established September 1941 in occupied Poland on the outskirts of Lwów. The camp was labeled Janowska after the nearby street's name ulica Janowska, nowadays Shevchenka street - Ukrainian: Вулиця Шевченка.
