Artemivsk Raion

The Artemivsk Raion is a raion within the northeastern part of Donetsk Oblast in eastern Ukraine. Its administrative center is Artemivsk, but the city itself administratively is not considered part of the raion. Its population is 53,866 and its area is 1,687 square kilometres. Within the Artemivsky Raion there are one city, one town, 19 selsovets, and 104 settlements. Also included within the raion are 21 kolhozy, 14 sovhozy, 4 industrial organisations, 43 libraries, and a movie theater.

Siversk

Siversk or Seversk (Ukrainian: Сі́верськ; Russian: Се́верск; until 1973, Yama) is a city in Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine situated 99km north of Donetsk. It had a population of 12,608 in 2010. There are some industrial factories located within the raion, notably the Stroidetal brick factory. Siversk is a former sovhoz by the name of Yamskyi. The town was founded in 1913 because of the operation of the dolomite mine near the railway station of Yama built in 1910.

Shypylivka, also known as Shipilovka is a village in Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine. The village's population is 500 (as of 2001). Administratively, Shypylivka belongs to the Popasna Raion of the oblast as a part of the Bilohorvka local council.

Soledar

Soledar is a city in Donetsk Oblast of Ukraine. Population is 13,151 (2001). The name of the town stands for 'gift of salt' both in Russian and Ukrainian. In Soviet times, until 1991, the city was known as Karlo-Libknekhtivsk. The main enterprises of the city are related to mining and processing industries: State Enterprise Association Artyomsol is mining and processing rock salt and Knauf Gips Donbass (a subsidiary of a German gypsum producer KNAUF).
