Reni, Ukraine

Reni is a small town in the Odessa Oblast of western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Reni Raion, and is located in the Bessarabian historic district of Budjak. The settlement was founded around 1548, acquiring city status in 1821. The current estimated population is around 20,000. The surrounding Reniysky Raion includes some 41,000 people, 49% of them ethnic Moldovans, 18% Ukrainians, 15% Russians, 8.5% Bulgarians and 8% Gagauz.

Port of Giurgiuleşti

The Port of Giurgiuleşti is a port on the Danube River and the largest port in Moldova. It is also a port on Prut River. It is Moldova’s only port accessible to sea-going vessels, situated at km 133.8 (nautical mile 72.2) of the River Danube in the South of Moldova. It operates both a grain and an oil terminal as well as a passenger terminal. The building of an oil terminal started in 1996 and it was launched on October 26, 2006.

Cişmichioi

Cişmichioi is a commune and village in the Gagauz Autonomous Territorial Unit of the Republic of Moldova. The 2004 census listed the commune as having a population of 5,054 people. 4,772 inhabitants are Gagauz. Minorities included 43 Russians, 39 Ukrainians, 25 Bulgarians and 115 Moldovans. The village lies at an altitude of 216 feet (65 meters). Its geographical coordinates are 45° 32' 40" North, 28° 22' 58" East.
