Battle of Podhajce (1698)

Battle of Podhajce took place on 8–9 September 1698 near Podhajce in Ruthenian Voivodship during the Great Turkish War. 6000-strong Polish army under Field Crown Hetman Feliks Kazimierz Potocki repelled a 14,000 man Tatar expedition under Kaplan-Girey. Lack of sufficient number of light cavalry on the Polish side prevented a successful pursuit of Tatars and their captives.

Zarvanytsia

Zarvanytsia is a small village in the Eparchy of Ternopil-Zboriv. Vyshnivchyk

Vyshnivchyk is a village in the Terebovlya Raion area of the Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine. Located on the western bank of the Strypa river. It neighbours the village of Zarvanytsia. It was founded in 1564 and currently has a population of 627. The village of Vyshnivchyk was part of Austrian Empire (until 1918), then again part of Poland (1918–1939), the Soviet Union (1944–1991) and in 1991,August 23 part of an independent Ukraine.

Peniaky is a village (selo) in Brodivskyi Raion, Lviv Oblast, in western Ukraine. From 1918 to 1939 the village was in Tarnopol Voivodeship in Poland.

Zavaliv

Zavaliv is a village (formerly a town) in the western part of Pidhaitsi Raion of Ternopil Oblast of western Ukraine. Until 1990 Zavaliv belonged to Berezhany Raion. The village is situated on the right bank of Zolota Lypa (stands for "Golden Lime Tree") river, 18 km away from the district center of Pidhaitsi. Hamlet Kamiana Hora was united with the village. Due to the resettlement of people, hamlet Zamche was removed from the registration data.
