The Svydovets is a mountain range in western Ukraine, one range among the Eastern Beskids and the Ukrainian Carpathians, itself part of the Outer Eastern Carpathians. Svydovets hosts one of the ten units of the Primeval Beech Forests of the Carpathians, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2007. Bukovel
Bukovel is a ski- and spa-resort located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast of western Ukraine. The resort is located almost on the ridge-lines of the Carpathian Mountains at elevation of 900 m above the sea level near the village of Polyanytsya. It is one of the most popular ski resort in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains and is situated 30 km southwest of the city of Yaremche.
