River Marron

For the article on the river in British Columbia of a similar name, see Marron River. The River Marron is a river of Cumbria, England. Rising near the village of Asby, Copeland at the confluence of Colliergate Beck and Scallow Beck, the Marron travels north past Ullock and Branthwaite, picking up the waters of Lostrigg Beck at Little Clifton/Bridgefoot not long before joining the River Derwent.

Cockermouth (C&W) railway station

The original Cockermouth railway station was situated on the Cockermouth & Workington Railway and served the town of Cockermouth, Cumbria. The station opened on 28 April 1847, and closed on 2 January 1865. The station was replaced by the Cockermouth, Keswick and Penrith Railway station when the line was extended on a different alignment.

Wordsworth House

Wordsworth House is a Georgian townhouse situated in Cockermouth, Cumbria, England, and in the ownership of the National Trust. It was built in the mid-18th century. William Wordsworth was born in the house in 1770. The house is a Grade I listed building. It is open to the public from March to October each year. In November 2009, Cumbria was hit by flooding.
