Llanhilleth railway station

Llanhilleth railway station is a railway station on the Ebbw Valley Railway and serves the village of Llanhilleth, Wales. The original Llanhilleth railway station was opened by the Great Western Railway on 1 October 1901, but it was closed on the 30th April 1962 (Quick's Station Chronology) The present station is situated slightly to the East of the old one and reopened on 27 April 2008, nearly three months after services between Cardiff Central and Ebbw Vale Parkway railway station commenced.

A472 road

The A472 is a cross valley link road in South Wales that runs west to east across the old South Wales coalfield from Treharris through Nelson, Ystrad Mynach, Maesycwmmer, Pontllanfraith, Newbridge, Crumlin, Hafodyrynys, Pontypool and thence into the Usk valley, through Little Mill and Usk to a junction with the A449.
