El Cajon is a city in San Diego County, California. The population was 99,478 at the 2010 census and grew to 100,116 in 2011. Nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains, the city has acquired the nickname of "The Big Box". Its name originated similarly, from the Spanish phrase "el cajón", which means "the big box" or "the drawer".

Westfield Parkway

Westfield Parkway, formerly known as Parkway Plaza, is a shopping mall in El Cajon, California. It is owned and managed by the Westfield Group. Its anchor stores are JCPenney, Macy's, Sears, and Wal-Mart. The Robinsons-May store was renamed Macy's on September 9, 2006. Westfield America, Inc. , a precursor to Westfield Group, acquired the shopping center in 1998, and renamed it "Westfield Shoppingtown Parkway", but dropped the "Shoppingtown" name in June 2005.

El Cajon Valley High School

El Cajon Valley High School (ECVHS) is a comprehensive public secondary school located in El Cajon, California, which is in the eastern county of San Diego, and serves students in grades nine through twelve. Established in 1955, El Cajon Valley is the third of twelve high schools to be built in the Grossmont Union High School District. ECVHS is the home of the Braves. El Cajon Valley High school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

Grossmont High School

Grossmont High School is the oldest high school in San Diego's east county, California. Its mascot is the Foothiller, so chosen because, at the time of the school’s construction, east county was much more isolated from the rest of San Diego than it is today and was often referred to as the boondocks or the foothills. Grossmont is in the Grossmont Union High School District. The school has an approximate enrollment of 2,800 students.
