Battle of Kulevicha
The Battle of Kulevicha, also known as the Battle of Kulewtscha, was fought during the Russo-Turkish War, 1828-1829 on June 11, 1829 between Russia and the Ottoman Empire. The Russians were led by Hans Karl von Diebitsch (German general serves for Russian Empire, while the Ottomans were led by Reşid Mehmed Pasha to the relief of Varna. The Russians were victorious.

Madara Rider
The Madara Rider or Madara Horseman (Bulgarian: Мадарски конник, Madarski konnik) is an early medieval large rock relief carved on the Madara Plateau east of Shumen in northeastern Bulgaria, near the village of Madara. The monument is dated to about 710 AD and has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1979. The relief depicts a majestic horseman 23 m above ground level in an almost vertical 100 m -high cliff.
