Kangaslampi

Kangaslampi is a former municipality of Finland. It was consolidated to Varkaus on 1 January 2005. It is located in the province of Eastern Finland and is part of the Northern Savonia region. The municipality had a population of 1,611 (31 December 2004) and covered an area of 412.93 km² of which 114.12 km² is water. The population density was 5.38 inhabitants per km². The municipality was unilingually Finnish.

Soisalo

Soisalo is the largest island of Finland and the largest inland island in Europe. The area of the island is 1,638 square kilometres . Located in Savonia, Eastern Finland, it is surrounded by the lakes Kallavesi, Suvasvesi, Kermajärvi, Ruokovesi, Haukivesi and Unnukka. Geographically Soisalo, although being surrounded by water, is not a real island because the lakes are not on the same level. The greatest difference between the lakes is 6 metres .

Haukivesi

Haukivesi is a lake in southeastern Finland and a part of the Saimaa lake system. Haukivesi is the "central pool" of the system, collecting 80% of the water that eventually flows into Lake Laatokka through River Vuoksi. Its area is 562.31 km².

Heinävesi Church

Heinävesi Church is an Evangelical Lutheran wooden church located in Heinävesi, Finland. It was built in 1890–1891 and designed by Josef Stenbäck. The church represents the Gothic Revival style, like many of the other churches designed by Stenbäck. The length of the church is 40 meters, breadth 30 meters and height 45 meters. The church has 2,000 seats and is thus the second biggest wooden church in Finland. The bell tower has two bells, a smaller one from 1765 and a larger one from 1906.
