Karuna Church

The Karuna church is a stone church located in Karuna Sauvo, Finland Proper, Finland. It was designed by Finnish church architect Josef Stenbäck and built in 1908–1910. The style of the building reflects National Romantic style with Jugendstil features. The bell tower is located in the southeast corner of the structure the bells of which were made in 1689. The church has the capacity to seat 480 people. The altar paintings were created by Ilmari Launis.

Karuna, Finland

Karuna, in the region Finland Proper located in the province Southern Finland, was a municipality in Finland until 1969 when it merged into the municipality of Sauvo. Part of the former municipality, namely, the village of Sandö was merged into the municipality of Kimito. In 1963, in Karuna was 1,213 inhabitants. About 700 people inhabit the area currently.

Kevola Observatory

The Kevola Observatory is located in Kevola in Paimio in South-Western Finland, some 35 km east from the city of Turku. The observatory is currently owned by Turun Ursa ry, a local astronomical association operating in Turku area. The buildings of the observatory include an observatory dome, a zenith observatory, and a house for recording observations. Kevola Observatory is listed in the IAU list of observatory codes with code 64.

Kuusisto Castle

. Kuusisto Castle was a medieval episcopal castle on an island of Kuusisto in Kaarina, Finland, near Turku. The castle was probably built in the early 14th century, although the site seems to have been bishop's residence already in the 1290s. The castle was ordered to be demolished during the Protestant Reformation in 1528 by the king Gustav I of Sweden. Excavation and reconstruction work on the remaining ruins began in 1891.
