Scandinavian Weekend Radio

Scandinavian Weekend Radio (SWR) is a shortwave and medium wave radio station in Virrat, Finland, established in 2000. It broadcasts for 24 hours on the first Saturday of every month and on Christmas Day. It is the only shortwave and medium wave radio station in Finland. The station is run by volunteers of which many are amateur radio operators, DXers and former pirate radio operators. Funding comes from membership fees of the voluntary association and PR product sales.

Toisvesi

Toisvesi is a lake in Finland. It is situated in the municipality of Virrat in the Pirkanmaa region in western Finland. Tuuri is a village in Alavus, a city of Finland. Tuuri is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Etelä-Pohjanmaa region. The village has a population of 500. The name "Tuuri" originates in the old Finnish god of luck, harvest and success, Tuuri; he was the equivalent of Norse Thor and Estonian Taara. In Modern Finnish the appellative tuuri means luck. The village is known for the second biggest department store in Finland, Veljekset Keskinen.
