Ohrid Airport (Macedonian: Аеродром Охрид, Aerodrom Ohrid), or Ohrid "St. Paul the Apostle" Airport (Macedonian: Аеродром Охрид "Св. Апостол Павле", Aerodrom Ohrid "Sv. Apostol Pavle"), is an airport in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia. The airport is located 9 km (6 mi) from Ohrid and 145 km (2 hours by bus) from Skopje, along the Struga-Kičevo-Skopje motorway.

2007 Gumball 3000 accident

The Gumball 3000 Rally of 2007 ended early as the result a traffic accident on May 2, 2007, in which two people were killed. The accident involved the TechArt Porsche 997 Turbo of Nick Morley and Matthew McConville and the Volkswagen Golf of Vladislav and Margarita Cepunjovski. The accident resulted in the immediate death of Mr. Cepunjovski, while his wife died two days later as a result of the injuries from the crash.

Trebeništa

Trebeništa is an ancient necropolis located in Macedonia, dating from the Iron Age around the 7th century BC. It is located near the town of Ohrid, in the Republic of Macedonia. It is believed that the necropolis was used by the people from the ancient town of Lychnidos. Trebeništa was discovered in 1918 by Bulgarian soldiers. The government sent archaeologist Karel Škorpil to organize excavations. The artefacts were later researched by Bogdan Filov.
