Obzor

Obzor is a small town and seaside resort on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. It is part of Nesebar municipality, Burgas Province. The Thracian and ancient Greek name of Obzor was Naulochos, a small port on the coast of Thrace, a colony of Mesembria. The ancient Romans named it Templum Iovis; Pliny called it Tetranaulochus. During the Ottoman rule of Bulgaria, it was known as Gözeken. The modern name was introduced in 1936; Obzor obtained town privileges on 9 September 1984.

Priseltsi

Priseltsi is a village in South- East Bulgaria, situated in Obshtina Nessebar, in the Burgas region. Priseltsi is 10 minutes drive from Obzor, a seaside town with much development in progress. It is known for its clean fresh air. There are quite a few new, high quality houses that have been recently built or renovated and some older ones in need of repair. A small church has been built and paid for by the local inhabitants. Pavements are currently being upgraded at the north end of the village.

Banya, Burgas Province

Banya is a village in southeastern Bulgaria, situated in the Nesebar Municipality of the Burgas Province. It is situated at the foot of the Eastern part of the Balkan Mountains, 6 km from the Black Sea Coast. Banya is 18 km away from Sunny beach (the largest Bulgarian sea resort), 25 km from the ancient Nesebar and 50 km from Burgas and Varna - the biggest Bulgarian administrative centres on the Black Sea Coast.

Emona, Bulgaria

Emona is a village and seaside resort in southeast Bulgaria, situated in the Nesebar Municipality of the Burgas Province. The beach Irakli is 5 km from Emona. Emona lies close to Cape Emine. There are ruins of the ancient fortress nearby. Emona is famous for being the legendary birthplace of Thracian king Rhesus, who fought in the Trojan War. According to Homer's Iliad, he was killed by Odysseus and Diomedes.

Cape Emine

This article is about Emine the place, for the Turkish female name, see Emine. Cape Emine is a headland located at the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. It is located 49 miles south of Varna, 34 miles north of Burgas and 9 miles south of Obzor. It forms the tip of Stara Planina. Cape Emine is said to be Bulgaria's stormiest cape. In the Middle Ages, there was a fortress called Emona on Cape Emine. Its name was derived from Aemon, the ancient name for Stara Planina.
