Zin Desert

Mount Sodom

Mount Sodom or Jebel Usdum is a hill along the southwestern part of the Dead Sea in Israel, part of the Judean Desert Nature Reserve. Mount Sodom began its rise hundreds of thousands of years ago, and it continues to grow taller at a rate of 3.5 mm a year. It is most remarkable because it is made almost entirely of halite, or rock salt. It is approximately five miles (8 km) long, three miles (5 km) wide, 742 feet above the Dead Sea water level, yet 557 feet below sea level.

Wadi Zered

The Wadi Zered is a wadi in western Jordan. Also known in Jordan as Wadi-Hasa. In ancient times it was the boundary between Moab and Edom. Mentioned in the Torah. The wadi is very big and long and ends in the Dead Sea in the town Safe (Al-Safi). The Wadi area is full of farmers which use the water for mostly vegetables like tomatoes and melons.

HaMakhtesh HaKatan

HaMakhtesh HaKatan is a makhtesh, a geological erosional landform of Israel's Negev desert. One of five makhteshim in Israel, and seven in the world, it is the third largest in Israel at 5 km by 7 km. It was charted in 1942 by Jewish explorers.
