Elbeyli, Bursa
Elbeyli (formerly İlbeyli) is a town in the Iznik district of Bursa Province, Turkey. It is situated 7 kilometres north of İznik and 85 kilometres northeast of Bursa at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|29|N|29|44|E||| | |name= }}. The population of the town is 2688 as of 2011. The settlement was founded on the ancient settlement named Liada or Linda . Siege of Nicaea (727)
The Siege of Nicaea of 727 was an unsuccessful attempt by the Umayyad Caliphate to capture the Byzantine city of Nicaea, the capital of the Opsician Theme. Ever since its failure to capture the Byzantine Empire's capital, Constantinople, in 717–718, the Caliphate had launched a series of raids into Byzantine Asia Minor. In 727, the Arab army, led by one of the Caliph's sons, penetrated deep into Asia Minor, sacked two Byzantine fortresses and in late July arrived before Nicaea.

Battle of Nicaea
The Battle of Nicaea was fought in 193 between the forces of Septimius Severus and his eastern rival, Pescennius Niger. It took place at Nicaea in Asia Minor. Severus defeated his rival, and ended his bid for the Roman Empire the next year at Issus. The battle took place in the context of the Year of the Five Emperors, a tumultuous period in the Roman Empire when Emperor Pertinax was assassinated by the Praetorian Guards.

Bakırköy railway station
Bakırköy railway station is a main station on the İstanbul-Halkalı Line. The station is south of Bakırköy's city center towards the Marmara Sea. Bakırköy is 12.6 km west of Sirkeci Terminal and average travel time to Sirkeci is 30 minutes. The station was built in 1872 as part of the Rumelia Railway in 1872. It was electrified and rebuilt in 1955. Bakırköy is primarily a commuter rail station but is also serviced by the westbound İstanbul-Kapıkule Regional and the İstanbul-Çerkezköy Regional.
