Alpagut

Alpagut is a small town in Mihalgazi district of Eskişehir Province, Turkey. (Alpagut is an old Turkic phrase meaning holy warrior) It is situated to the south of Sakarya River at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|01|N|30|30|E||| | |name= }}. The distance to Mihalgazi is 8 kilometres and to Eskişehir is 32 kilometres The population of the town is 861. as of 2011. Main economic sector of the town is fruit farming. Dorylaeum

Dorylaeum or Dorylaion was an ancient city in Anatolia. It is now in ruins near the city of Eskişehir, Turkey. Its original location was about 10km southwest of Eskişehir, at a place now known as Karaca Hisar; about the end of the fourth century B.C. it was moved to a location north of modern Eskişehir. The city existed under the Phrygians but may have been much older. It was a Roman trading post.
