Cheremosh River

The Cheremosh River is a river in western Ukraine, tributary of the Prut River. It flows along the borderline of the historic regions of Bukovina and Galicia. In the Middle Ages and the early modern era, it was part of the borderline between the Principality of Moldavia and Kingdom of Poland. Currently it runs along the borderline between the Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi Oblasts. Both banks in the upper part of the river are inhabited by Hutsuls.

Kitsman

Kitsman is a city located in the Chernivtsi Oblast of western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Kitsman Raion, and is located at around {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:48|26|33|N|25|45|41|E| | |name= }}. The town is about 20 km northwest from Chernivtsi on the road to Zalishchyky. The first historical mention of Kitsman is dated to 1413, which also appears on the city's crest.

Sniatyn

It is the administrative center of the Sniatynsky Raion, and is located at around {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:48|27|0|N|25|34|0|E| |primary |name= }}. The current estimated population is around 10,500 (as of 2001). In the interbellum period, it was a rail border crossing between Poland and Romania.
