Laçin, Eskişehir

Laçin is a small town in Sarıcakaya district of Eskişehir Province, Turkey. It is situated at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:39|42|N|31|29|E||| | |name= }}, along the Sakarya River. The distance to Sarıcakaya is 15 kilometres and to Eskişehir is 55 kilometres . The population of Laçin is 643 as of 2011. The history of the settlement goes back to 16th century. The maim economic activities of the town are agriculture, sheep and cattle breeding and lately poultry rising.

Sarıyar Dam

Sarıyar Dam is 23 kilometres north of Nallıhan town 125 kilometres west of Ankara which is capital city of the country in central Turkey and located 60 kilometres upstream of Gökçekaya Dam on the Sakarya River which runs into the Black Sea. It was completed in 1956. Total power output from the hydroelectric facility is 160 MW (four facilities of 40 MW each).
